Food - enough food to last for 3 days
Water - 3 liters of water per person per day is a good guideline
Clothing – make sure you put comfortable clothes for each member of the family and sneakers/ gum boots for protection.
Medicines - if any person in your family is suffering from diseases that require them to take life saving medication daily , for example a diabetic needing insulin it will be a good idea to make sure you have an emergency supply available at all times.
Important documents – keep your important documents for example birth certificate and passports in a plastic sleeve easy for protection
